MSNBC Morning Show's, Dylan Ratigan-Wins 'Brave Heart in Journalism ' Award

I have been listening to Dylan 'feet to the fire' Ratigan on the Morning Meeting Show this morning and he has been letting some flames fly. Mr. Ratigan is demostrating the courage it will take and giving others a platform, to say what needs to be said, in my opinion, to have economic justice in America. So in tribute to Mr. Ratigan's courage I came up with a totally fictitous literary award, the 'Brave Heart in Journalism' Award (unless it is a real one), based on Mel Gibson's character William Wallace in the movie Brave Heart.

C-span caller, "The only thing important to Senator Lieberman is Senator Lieberman"

Listening to c-span this morning to a call in segement and during a discussion about Sen. Lieberman not supporting the "Health Care Bill". A woman called-in and basically implied he is a media hound and loves the media attention. Imagine a politician loving the media attention and going to extremes to be a media focus. I would add, as I listened to the show a few other callers expressed the same sentiments as the woman I heard.

U.S. Waiting for Race Relations to Improve Under Obama

gallup.com,    Forty-one percent of Americans say race relations have gotten at least a little better under Barack Obama; about half as many say they have worsened. Last November, 70% expected race relations to improve as a result of his election, and 61% still hold out hope that this will happen in the long run.

Will Obama Regime help destory the internet as we know it?

eff.org,  Leaked ACTA Internet Provisions: Three Strikes and a Global DMCA: The leaks confirm everything that we feared about the secret ACTA negotiations. The Internet provisions have nothing to do with addressing counterfeit products, but are all about imposing a set of copyright industry demands on the global Internet, including obligations on ISPs to adopt Three Strikes Internet disconnection policies, and a global expansion of DMCA-style TPM laws.

Goldman Sachs takes on new role: taking away people's homes

mcclatchydc.com, The lender with whom they sparred, however, wasn't the one that had written their loans. It was an obscure subsidiary of Wall Street colossus Goldman Sachs Group. Goldman spent years buying hundreds of thousands of subprime mortgages, many of them from some of the more unsavory lenders in the business, and packaging them into high-yield bonds. Now that the bottom has fallen out of that market, Goldman finds itself in a different role: as the big banker that takes homes away from folks such as the Beckers.

Sound familiar? Ron Paul's Audit the Fed Bill gutted

sameoldchange.com,   I would like to know what happened to transparency in government. Maybe the Federal Reserve is not a true government institution and should not be empowered with the minting plates and money printing presses of the people of the United States. I would also like to know what happened to "Government for the people, by the people". We have all these highly educated people in government and business coming from elite academic institutions and it seems not much is working right and what is left over is either close to collaspe-pending a takeover action or has been already seized. It seems much of what was of value in the US has been outsourced, down sized, or mechanized, mismanaged, embezzled, stolen, pillaged and plundered. And on top of these it is conventional wisdom that it is wrong to buy American or make much here either. As if all this is not enough it is expected that we keep paying for this or be questioned as unamerican if to many questions are asked. I take it the concept of 'taxation without representation' is moot as well then in this paradigm.

American Issues: MSM back to "jobs & economy" as the main reason Americans are "upset"

First off I would say, saying that a growing majority of Americans are "upset" maybe a case of the MSM again misunderstanding the mood and concerns of that obviuosly growing number of upset people. I remember in a 9th or 10th grade sociology class the teacher taught us governments frequently either under-react or over-react to citizens. That observation has proven to be true time and again over the years.

This situation is amplified because most of the MSM acts almost exclusively like a giant weapons grade echo chamber for the constituent parts of the government the Democrats and Republicans or Redemicans as I like to call the two almost hermetically sealed parties. And the result it seems for the American people is that we are fairly well not being listened to or given much redress for growing grievances. This disparity and the numbers of upset Americans is amplified by what seems like a growing number of financial conglomerates and other business interests running rough shod over the American people.

This brings me back to what is causing the American people to be merely “upset” about what existence is meaning right about now. I hear the MSM automatons saying “jobs” and the economy and no doubt someone will say sooner or later say “it’s the economy stupid” and use a few more mantras in explaining why Americans are upset. This happens every time one of these ‘cyclical downturns’ or ‘recessions’ or ‘jobless recoveries’ occurs.

Obviously I question the MSM and other denizens of conventional wisdom. Because I think Americans are a long ways past being upset. And I think it’s because America’s problems have correspondingly morphed a long ways past “jobs and it’s the economy stupid” into being serious matters of economic injustice for generations of American’s to come, the future of Republican Democracy, and Social Justice. Problems which left ignored or suppressed, historically can quickly fester into near chaotic circumstances.

Is America truly "Post-Racial" or is this Stockholm Syndrome?

gallup.com: Blacks Far More Satisfied With U.S. Under Obama‏- Close to half of black adults nationwide, 47%, say they are satisfied with the way things are going in the U.S., up from 10% in mid-2008.

Gallup.Com: One Year After Election, Americans Less Sure About Obama‏

gallup.com,  Americans are much less sure than they were a year ago at the time of his election that President Barack Obama will be able to accomplish a number of challenges facing his administration. In particular, far fewer Americans believe he will be able to heal political divisions and control federal spending.

FBI Demands Tattoo Shops Rat On Customers

bln.com, By Kurt Nimmo, "Are you in the market for a patriotic tattoo, maybe the Gadsden flag? Forget about it. Unless you want the local tattoo artist to inform on you. The FBI, in league with the Bureau of Justice Assistance (part of the Department of Justice), has launched a program that harks back to East Germany’s Stasi. In Philadelphia, the FBI has instructed tattoo shops to rat out their customers if they demand privacy, insist on paying with cash, engage in “suspicious behavior,” make “anti-US” comments, or request tattoos that are “extremist symbols.”

Barack Obama Continues Bush Administration Policy Regarding Posse Comitatus

thenewamerican.com,   Written by Joe Wolverton, II,  "It has been just over one year since the U.S. Army announced that the 3rd Infantry Division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team was being placed under the direct control of the US Army Northern Command (NORTHCOM), and was being indefinitely reassigned as an “on-call federal response force” for emergencies of all sorts, natural and man-made, including terrorist attacks, within NORTHCOM's area of responsibility — the United States, Mexico, and Canada".

My favorite Psalm from the bible

God stands in the congregation of the mighty; God judges among the gods. How long will God judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy. Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked. They know not, neither will they understand; they all walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course. I have said, you are of gods; and all of you are children of the most High. But you shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes/presidents. Arise, God, judge the nations of earth: restore the creation, for thou shall inherit all nations.

Chicago bank protestor raps to “Golddigger” by Kanye West using protest lyrics

apps.wbez.org, Kind of hard to hear the lyrics but you can make out a phrase or or two if you strain a little. Obama recently verbally jabbed Kanye West as a Jackass. Kind of an ironic song for the young man to be protesting with I would say. Wonder if West will be the jackass that keeps kicking?
